Some of your favorite Tampa market farmers are starting a new project — Joe Dalessio, Kristin Beauvois, and Travis Malloy will be combining brains and teaming up to bring Ybor City its first urban farm.

Opening in Fall 2020, Meacham Urban Farm will be a high-yielding, bio-intensive farm accessible to the surrounding neighborhoods. Our goal is to inspire community engagement in the local food system and instill a commitment to organic, healthy, environmentally conscious farming.

The foundation of this project is agriculture and food education for students, neighbors and any interested humans.

Cheers,
Joe, Kristin, & Travis

In Summer 2020, we raised three greenhouses, built a Farm Store, and started prepping and planning for tons for fresh, organic veggies— one step closer to becoming an agriculture hub and education farm in the heart of Tampa Bay and the Encore community.

In the meantime, we are farming 4 acres in Town ‘n Country and another 1 acre in Lutz at Black Finger Farm. Rest assured there will be plenty of fresh, organic, local produce for the start of each season!

So for now, sit tight, and read up on the “Latest News” and our vision for growing food at Meacham Urban Farm!
